“Music Of The Movies” October 22nd @ 5:00pm

A program titled “Music Of The Movies” will be presented by a string quartet from the Strings & Things network of musicians on Sunday, October 22nd at 5:00 PM.

The performance will be held at Urbanna Baptist Church and is open to the public. The program will include classical music that has been used in movies as well as music that has been composed specifically for movies. Music of eighteen different composers will be performed, ranging from Bach, Mozart and Haydn to the music of Scott Joplin, Elmer Bernstein and John Williams.

Strings & Things is a network of between 20 and 25 professionally trained musicians in coastal and central Virginia. Members typically play for weddings, receptions, parties, and performances in duet, trio, or quartet combinations. The membership represents a variety of instrumentation, including violin, viola, cello, flute, oboe, clarinet, trumpet, and keyboard.
